Rated 4 out of 5 by CdrCapri from Good tool The drill does an excellent job cutting away the upper spot of the weld. The weld separates easily once the upper panel is drilled. The only downfall I experienced was the short length of about 1-3/4" inches. Once in the chuck it was difficult to have 1" of bit extending from the drill. Several times in close areas the drill chuck was too close to get the weld cutter onto the spot. The drill needs to be perfectly straight to drill. A length of 2-1/2" or longer would be nice.

Rated 3 out of 5 by fleetw00d from Not Pleased, Won't Start Cutting Not sure if I'm doing something wrong (yes, it is spinning the correct direction), but the tool won't even start cutting. The point prevent walking, particularly after using a punch to mark the center, but the point won't cut anything to allow the outer teeth to cut the weld. I've gone back to the hole saw type.

Rated 3 out of 5 by pvbb_handyman from Good This tool cuts the spot weld well. I found that the tool walked when trying to start the cut. I overcame this by first making a small start hole with a #3 center drill. I found that some recessed places could not be reached and a longer shank would have helped. The steel and heat treating quality seems very good. I have only made about 25 cuts and the toll seems to be staying sharp.

Rated 2 out of 5 by Slord from Works okay Bought about a month ago to remove the spot welds on a dashboard. Completely rusted in the package. Removed 26 spot welds. Definitely now needs point sharpened. Went slow and used a lot of cutting oil. Expected more for the price.
