STEEL-IT 5904 High Temp & Corrosion-Resistant Aerosol is a single-component pigmented silicone finish containing 316L stainless steel. It is specifically designed for high temperature applications where surface temperatures exceed 400°F (204°C). It can withstand constant temperatures up to 1,000°F (537°C) with spikes reaching 1,200°F (649°C). This self-priming coating bonds directly with bare steel at high temperatures. Proper surface preparation is crucial, and the coating should be subjected to a 60-minute bake cycle at 400°F (204°C) for optimal curing, hardness, and durability. If the object coated reaches400°F (204°C) for at least 1 hour while in use, the coating can be cured during operation.
