Rated 5 out of 5 by from Nibbler I have found this to be the tool when needing to do a small job it works great easy to use and very well made, I would highly recommend to all.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent tool Works well in places where normal shears would have trouble

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Could have smoother action. Tried them out for the first time and they definitely cut and in close quarters. Worked well on piece of metal that had a bend already in and needed a cut next to the bend. The only thing i don't like or maybe understand is after a single squeeze the tip hangs up in the sheet metal and you have to push the tool back down thru the metal to get your next cut. I don't know if this will change with usage or not.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good tool for jewelry metalsmiths I'm cutting 22ga copper and brass for bracelets. This tool helps my not so young hands cut the curves, back and forth, in my stock without leaving warped metal edges. There is next no waste. It was a bit tricky to learn to use and did have some rough remains, but they were easily trimmed with kitchen shears. Frankly, I would never use them on 20ga steel. The gauge notwithstanding, the nature of the metal itself governs how easily these nibblers cut.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from NR1 Nibbler On the plus side it does things that aviation snips and conventional snips don't. It cuts curves nicely and doesn't warp the edges. The handles can pinch your hand just below the index finger when you use all the travel at the jaws. A good addition to my fabricating arsenal.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great tool I really like this tool. It works very good. The one issue I have with this tool is the plastic handle. It is not very ergonomic and the plastic is sharp on some points. When I first used the tool I did not wear gloves and I tore up my hands. Other then that this tool is great.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from quality This tool has meet and exceeded the quality that you could ever hope to find at the hardware store by a long shot. It glides through 18ga. mild sheet steel with the aid a touch of oil. Well worth it's price.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from buy spare cutters per the title.... they break easy. the tool works pretty good but I wouldn't use it on steel over 20 gauge

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Very time consuming, but produces a clean cut I bought this to cut the package shelf out of my '65 GTO, luckily i also bought the Eastwood 30072 pnuematic nibbler at the same time. This tool cuts a small chunk out with each squeeze of the handles (which, by the way can painfully pinch your hand if not careful). I found that after each "nibble" I had to wrestle with it and pull the tool out, re-insert back into the cut in order to continue. VERY time consuming. It produces a nice clean cut, but I only used it to cut very small sections. To cut the length of the package tray, I ended up using the Eastwood pneumatic nibbler, which flew through the cuts like a hot knife through butter.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Not working for me... I was using body solder and needed something to cut 22 gauge SS sheetmetal. I broke two blades in a day and dulled a third one...my sheetmetal still isn't finished. I realize that stainless steel is hard to cut in the first place but c'mon. To Eastwood's credit, my first blade broke and they sent two more on warranty very quickly.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Not like the promo picture Does not cut curves with a radius as small as shown in the promo picture without seriously wrinkling and distorting the edge of the cut.
Date published: 2016-07-20
Rated 2 out of 5 by from Cuts OK Had the same issue as N1 NIbbler...pinched my index finger 3 times in less than a minute. Great tool for radius cuts but not for longer cuts. Took a long time to cut across 6" wide 20 ga sheet metal. Won't deform the metal as stated, just slow going.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Poor Quality Terrible ergonomics, good thing the handles slide off. I broke 3 blades in one day, cutting 20 ga steel.
Date published: 2013-08-30
Rated 2 out of 5 by from Good Tool...BUT I had the same problem that "Not Working For Me" had... I've only used the tool three times. The first two times it worked great. Cut though sheet metal like a hot knife through butter. BUT... the third time I used it, the blade snapped. Now I'll have to send off for replacement blades while my project sits untouched.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Poor Quality Bought these nibblers, and the very first cut, the blade shattered. To Eastwoods credit, they did send out two new blades quickly, but I haven't tried since receiving the blades. I just used good old aviation snips to do what I needed done

Could it cut a one inch diameter circle?

Asked by: Smscanada
Depending on the thickness of the metal 4-6 inch holes are about as small as you can go. An air powered nibbler will allow you to go much smaller.

Hello, I have an older set of Eastwood nibblers. There is no model number on them, it just says Made in France, The Eastwood Company. Can I buy replacement blades for this? I tried to search for part # 28012A and didn't get any results.

Asked by: domezie
The 28012A blades should certainly fit your hand nibblers. A quick call into our Sales team can get part number 28012A sold to you.

How thin/gauge sheet metal can it cut. And is the handle female friendly... (the majority of handles on power tools/ tools tend to be too big resulting in poor grip)

Asked by: e1se29
This cutter does not have a minimum thickness of material that it can cut, only the maximum measurements listed. I would consider this item very female friendly ( I myself being a female with very small hands and was able to cut through 18 gauge very easily). Hope this helps!

When cutting, will the edges remain flat and straight or roll will the edges have more of a roll upward or downward edge?

Asked by: Rick

Would this tool be good for making 10 inch straight cuts off of a 16 oz (24 gauge) copper roll? The edges need to be distortion free.
