Reviews

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Standard Equipment This is my first welder and the original pedal was more like a light switch than a pedal you can modulate. This pedal is much easier to tune amperage and much more comfortable to use. This should be the standard pedal for the TIG 200.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from This should be this standard accessory. The pedal just arrived yesterday so I haven't hooked it up yet, but Just working it on the floor it feels 500 percent better than the little half pedal that comes with the T200 TIG welder. Every time I tried to use that pedal, it would move around under my foot & I would have to search blindly for it. One time my foot hit the adjust knob & all of a sudden the welder wouldn't weld because I have moved the Amp setting down to 20 with my foot. I was almost tempted to glue that half-pedal to the floor!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent upgrade ! Received my new foot pedal for my tig 200 this week. So much easier to control my heat when welding now. Thanks Eastwood !

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good upgrade but pricey It is a good upgrade, but expensive. While I like it, it does not feel it’s worth the extra expense for me. The half pedal will do the job and unless you weld a lot I would not recommend spending the money. Please do not get the wrong idea, it is a better feel and seems to modulate well. I’m just not going to use it enough to say it was a good buy for me. If you plan to weld a lot, it will be well worth your investment to upgrade the half pedal.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Worth it, but could be better. Yes, 100% worth the extra $100 just for the fact it doesn't slip away from you like the pedal that comes with the TIG200. However, I was hoping for more amperage control and it just wasn't there. It's basically a more ergonomic on/off switch.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from SHOULD BE STANDARD Just bought, super fast shipping and a must to replace the completely useless pedal that comes with it,seriously Eastwood, ditch that old pedal, you know it's junk this shouldn't be an upgrade, thats my only gripe hence 4 stars. Anyone on the fence about purchasing this pedal, DO NOT wait, buy it!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from what it needed This is what the Eastwood tig 200 needed, the stock peddle has no feel whereas this one feels like a tig peddle should .would get 5 stars if it had a single wire instead of two that I had to tape together. Buy it you'll like it.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Needs wiri g work for older Tig 200 Looks solid and I look forward to using it. But it does not fit the older Tig 200 and Eastwood stopped selling an adapte. So, I need to wire the foot pedal to the old style connect which looks strait forward enough. Gave two stars for the work needed just to get yhis to work on an older two pin machine.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from “Upgraded” pedal Goes bad every year like clockwork. Another just alright product from Eastwood.
Date published: 2022-10-26
Rated 1 out of 5 by from Works great but no replacement parts available from Eastwood This foot pedal is a huge upgrade. Unfortunately mine stopped working due to the linear potentiometer failing. Linear potentiometers are a wear item and will go bad eventually. This is one of two electrical components in the unit and are inexpensive parts. Eastwood support said they do not carry replacement components, and also could not give me a part number for the component. They said the only option was to buy a new foot pedal.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Make sure you get adapter connector I bought this pedal hoping to use it on my Tig 200 which is one of the first ones made. Make sure you get the adapter connector that makes their newer metal 2 pin cable connector to the older style 4 pin plastic connector (only 2 pins used). Waiting for it to arrive, hoping it works. I drove 1:40 mins each way only to find out it wouldn't work on mine.

Does this foot pedal control variable amperage to the maximum set on the adjustable maximum knob??

Asked by: Redwing
Correct. The knob on the side controls the max amperage for the pedal while the movement of the pedal varies from low amperage up to what you set at.
