Reviews

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Opps repaired Great replacement for one we broke. Using a plasma cutter without Air will melt it.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from replacement I had a meltdown of the original. Eastwood was good and replaced it at no cost since it was under warranty. Prompt shipment. I would suggest they get a wire stand-off like they have for the 60 amp cutter. I made one for myself--but should have one come with the unit.

Questions & Answers

Can I use this with a Klutch 375i? I can not find a diagram for the 375i and it seems like air is blowing back through the unit and I can't get it to work so I thought I could order a new hose and handle?

I ordered replacement parts for the torch, thinking I had a bad tip only to discover that the red wire had either burned or corroded off in the handle...is this common? Can it be soldered back in place? Can't really tell exactly where it belonged...

Asked by: Dano
Most likely the wire would go to the safety pins which are spring loaded to make contact with the back of the outer nozzle as you thread it on.

I have burned some of the parts on the inside of my cutter. Mainly the two plastic components within the consumables. One of the plastic parts is removable, the other is not. How can I prevent those plastic parts from burning?

Asked by: jwillys
Use the setting chart included with the item for guidelines as far as settings for the material thickness you are cutting. Also make sure you are keeping the end of your torch the proper distance away from the material you are cutting (you can use this guide for assistance in doing so: http://www.eastwood.com/eastwood-plasma-cutting-guide.html. Another main cause of burnt up torches is the consumables not being changed frequently enough, or air pressure not being set correctly.

Why the flow gauge is included with the torch if it is not required and doesn't have any use?

Asked by: Ringandtip
It is what we use to test the item before it is shipped out.. I apologize for the confusion.

I need the Torch Assembly part Number 12811 and can not find it here. Can I use this torch assembly.

Asked by: Bigbill46
If your unit has a plastic connection on the front of the unit then the 20173 will not work with that unit. Give a call to our customer service department and let them know that you need item number 12811. They will be able to get that for you.

What is the clear tube with blue caps?

Asked by: VA_Bill
It is a flow gauge that goes with the torch assembly, but is not a required part that has any use.

I'm looking at your torch assembly versa cut 40 #20173. Will this fit a Chicago Electric 36 amp air plasma cutter model #91814. I seems to have the same connectors.

Asked by: barry64
Our torches and connections were specifically made for our units. I would say no, it will not work.
