Rated 4 out of 5 by from Nice addition No assembly directions included, but it's pretty self-evident how it has to go together. There is some slop in the top mount, but that's not a huge issue.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Manuel rachet bender Bent snout bars, did a good job, with exception to the small following die drops down, needs washers under neath.the 2 bushings needs shims or washers underneath to hold them in place. Its heavy built, probably will check on a hydraulic cylinder kit, will make bending a lot faster/ easier

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Well built Sturdy No instructions I would have given this stand a 5 Star rating except that this bender did not arrive with instructions....which isnt a huge deal...cuz....if you are going to be using this bender, you should be smart enough to figure it out from the pic.....reason I say is cuz you have to put it together in a sequence or you cant get all the bolts in cuz others are in the way...that being said....the stand seems well built, sturdy, nice paint job and weld job....I currently have not bent any tubing with my bender and 2" die...but I will be sure to get back here and share my experience....

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good product Bender is great. I've been using it for 1" DOM and it's been flawless thus far. I have to say that the assembly instructions are worse than IKEA. The worst instructions I've ever seen. Other than that I love my bender.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from overall good bender good bender for the price. as compared to more expensive benders, you can see where this one is more economy, but it bends just the same. the die needs a little work to get the tool marks from transferring to the tubing though. i had to use a sanding wheel and cratex to smooth them out. the follower die also needed some light sanding on the edges.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Ok but watch out for poor quality control. Holding block was welded on crooked and had to be cut off and re welded.
Date published: 2022-07-20
Rated 1 out of 5 by from Poor craftsmanship Tried to bend 2 inch with .120 wall DOM tube on the first time using it and THE DIE BRAKES. Tried to call multiple times to get it returned every time I said “return” I would get disconnected I did this three times in a row. Now the tube bender just sits in pieces in my garage worst $900 ever spent

The strap on my tubing is so tight at the end of my bend that I cannot remove the pin without using a brass hammer.  Please help!

Asked by: Richard
Back up on the tool to relieve the tension of the bend from the tubing. Then loosen the strap bolt and the pin should come out much easier.

I am bending 1.5 aluminum tubing and keep getting wrinkles every 1.5 inches or so consistently on the inside of the bend. How do I prevent this? Also do you sell square tubing dies?

Asked by: Gary
Bending Aluminum is a virtually impossible to do with this bender, especially with a thinner wall. It does tend to kink soft aluminum and copper. Harder aluminum would be ok. Works best on mild steel and chrome moly steel.

Do you use or recommend any lubricant for use on the die and follower? If so, any particular type/brand or even cooking spray, like PAM, for example?

Asked by: MarcS
Yes we do recommend a lubricant, anything like wheel bearing grease, motor oil, just a thin coating is all that is needed. In addition to the Lub. it is always a good idea to run a scuff pad over the tubing where the bend will be. This will remove any burrs from the tubing.

How do I get a smooth bend? It’s pitting a kink in the pipe every time I try to use it

Asked by: VonG
When using this bender a good idea is to take a scuff pad and make sure that there are no burrs on the tubing. The tubing must be lubed,a multi grade lube would work well. Also insure that the bolt on the U strap is snug so there is no slack. Also make sure that your wall thickness is within the specs.

I just purchased your bender to build nhra roll cages and chassis. do you 1x5 x5 die will it work on 15/8 083 chrome moly tubing? and can you convert it to hydraulic over electric? if so what ram will work and what's the max stroke for your bender?

Our 1 5/8" die will work with this material. Unfortunately we do not have a kit to convert this unit to hydraulic.

How do you achieve a 5" radius with this die? Mine measures 8" from side to side on the inside of the die, so in theory that would be impossible. Am I missing something, or was I just sent the wrong die?

Asked by: Jacob D
The radius is measured from the middle of the tubing. This means if you were to bend a 180 degree bend you'll achieve a 10 inch diameter when measuring to the middle of the tubing.
