Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Stuff The product is easy to work with and is easy to sand once you figure out the right mixture. If you're looking for a filler better than bondo this is it. Highly recommened.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great product Great product for small areas, easy to apply and work with. After you figure out the product to hardener ratio it's much easier to apply and let dry. Highly recommended

Rated 5 out of 5 by from FANTASTIC PRODUCT This filler is versatile with respect to mixing and application especially if only small amounts are used at one time; ie golf ball sized. Sands and feathers well. Very easy to work, shape, and sand. Seems to sand best by hand. Takes primer and top coats well and doesn't seem to shrink in a few days like some fillers tend to do. I am working in temps at around 55 degrees so I allow about 4 hours before I attempt a sanding operation. I will purchase more within one or two days from now.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from All metal filler Be sure to add enough hardener, it’s not quite as forgiving as polyester filler. Be ready to apply to area asap, short work time. All metal sets up extremely hard and sticks very aggressively, good for sealing in any repair

Can this be used on fuel tanks to stop a leak

Asked by: Jamie
We would not recommend the All Metal for a gas tank repair. The PC-7 Epoxy would be a better choice. Item #52195. https://www.eastwood.com/pc-7-epoxy-1-2-lb-can.html

I work at a fab shop and we weld frames and get them painted. We currently use Evercoat Bondo to fill in seams and gaps prior to paint however our customer is asking for Powdercoat instead of wet paint. Do you reccomend any Bondo that would work with po

The only filler we have that would be able to withstand the temperatures required to bake to cure powder at would be the High Temp. Lab Metal: https://www.eastwood.com/hi-temp-lab-metal-24-oz.html

Data sheet says it can be powder coated up to 400f. This product is better sanding result compared to hi temp metal?

Asked by: Russ
This product will sand better, however, it will not attract the powder to the product. The only way to apply powder to the all-metal is to hot flock it on.

I’ve replaced small metal sections in my cowl (limited access) but have small pin holes.  I plan to use encapsulator platinum then something like USC All Metal to put a finish on it and seal small holes.  Will this work or is there something better?

Asked by: Roy1972
If you truly have pin sized holes, this product will work well. If the holes in your metal are a little larger then pin hole size, we would suggest to weld in new metal.

Is this the same as what used to be called ALUM-A-LEAD made by Ditzler Auto finishes. Many years ago. It was a very good product back then. Over 40years ago.

Asked by: BisonJon
We have never tested this product in comparison with the ALUM-A-LEAD. We can tell you that it does a great job on filling weld seams. As it is waterproof, and is very strong.

This will not survive powder coating. It will not make it much past 200F. You should look into the High temp Lab Metal for powdercoating.
