It used to be that CNC machines were only found in professional shops. But as the cost of computers virtually disappeared and access to user-friendly CAD software became common, Eastwood’s Mark Robidoux felt DIY hobbyists should be able to have computer-control machinery in their home garage.
In this episode of Prototype to Product, Mark explains some of the features that went into making the company’s first CNC plasma cutting table as easy to use as possible. At the same time, he describes the fully welded machine as robust, making it a great transition piece for hobbyists who want to step up their game and go into business with it.
