Rated 5 out of 5 by from Very good tool for the mechanic that has to get the job done I found these pliers to be particularly handy for tight bends and tight working spaces. They are not a manufacturing tool, so to speak, in that you don't insert the tubing and the tool does all the work for you. They provide a bending surface that helps prevent kinks, especially when the bend radius needs to be tighter than ideal for the tube diameter. The jaws of the pliers are sharp enough that they will leave a small ring cut into any coating on the tubing, so "working" a complicated bend will result in tool marks on the tube. All that being said, it is the first bender I reach for when doing brakes.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from tool needs improvement The concept is good but, really not a well designed tool. It weakens the tube when making a bend and leaves a impression of a smiley when bending rigid brake line tube. If this forming tool was a full 1/2 die instead of the current 1/4 die this would fix the problem and be a excellent tool Thank you for your feedback. Our R&D team will look into your comments. We've found that this tool works well for adjusting and aligning lines with master cylinders, wheels cylinders, and more. The Eastwood Team

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good tool I used this tool along with the Eastwood Steel 3/16 Brake line kit that came with fittings. For the price I thought it was worth a try. I found it very useful. For me it did make an tiny indention on some bends where I didn't do it well, but it never kinked or did anything close to what I would consider an issue. I used it to make a new driver side wheel to proportioning valve line, (2-3 tight 90 degree bends) came out great. I then made some custom hidden lines from the Master down to the frame. These worked great, very pleased with them and the brake line.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good tool for its intended use I like this tool for slight bends but it will not make 90 degree bends as shown in the video without pinching the brake line half shut even in the soft brake line. It does put a mark on the brake line even in slight bends but not bad. I did file the tool very slightly with a round file so it now makes a slight crease instead of a sharp looking cut that damages any coating on the line.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Tightest bends on softer materials I have tubing benders but none of them could make a particular bend I needed, a 180 bend on a 4.7mm line, 1" radius. I did it with this tool! Eastwood, LISTEN UP! You need to make one minor change to this tool to make it a five star tool. Put a small .020" radius on the back side to prevent the crimp marks others have mentioned. If you send me two more tools (free of course) I will machine the radius and send it back to you so you can evaluate it for yourself. The second tool I am giving to a friend since he keeps borrowing mine!

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Basic Functionality Never been surprised with Eastwood branded quality products. This tool looks like is made by a blacksmith. Take that back..our "smithy" has better fit and finish. I have purchased a TIG, Powdercoat gun, and numerouse restoration products from your company. This not so good. As an SAE member, and previous MAC Tool corporate guy, you really need to work on this one. Works ok for small "adjustments" ...do not try any bending.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent Tool I work for a restoration shop in Houston, Tx. I have used these in a professional environment and I have seen professional results. I often find myself fabricating brake lines and these come in quite handy. Bare in mind, these are primarily designed for making slight adjustments and not complete bends. When used for what they're intended, these work great. They are a welcome addition to my tool box.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Disappointed in quality Purchased Eastwood products in the past. Have your TIG, Powdercoat system, and numerous restoration products. Your products have always been first rate. This tool feels like a wrench manufactured in early 1900's China, The jaws are as rough as the handles. Being an SAE member, and working in MAC Tools corp a few years, maybe I expect too much. Do not try a serious bend..although great foy "tweeks".
