Great paint, awful applicationThe paint is fantastic. The spray nozzles on the cans, however, are awful. Eastwood spray nozzles used to be the best for the work we do on customer vehicles; paint would apply evenly and without effort. The nozzles on these cans are not adjustable and spray in clusters.
While it is not strictly required to use a primer before applying Extreme Chassis Black, it is highly recommended for the best results. Specifically, using Extreme Chassis Black Primer on clean, bare metal improves adhesion and durability. You could also use a good Epoxy Primer.

Can I use a enamel primer with this paint?
Asked by: Joejoe
No, Eastwood Chassis Black products, including the Original and Extreme versions, should not be applied over enamel primers. It is recommended to use Eastwood Extreme Chassis Black Primer, Eastwood Rust Encapsulator or Epoxy Primer as a base. It is important to avoid using Chassis Black over self-etching primers.
