Great toolI haven't cut much with this yet but it looks like a high quality tool. It appears durable, is easy to operate, and the flex head is genius if it holds up. I found that I used my last cutoff tool for much more than I originally anticipated, and the reversing and flex head features of this tool will make it even more versatile. And, Eastman is first class. They've been very professional to work with and have treated me very well. They're my "go to" for these types of products.

Beyond awesomelight use so far but this is way cool. always had a problem with sparks in my face. Love the concept hate the trigger. I am going to remove the "safety" lever because it is ^&*^) near impossible to use unless you put a finger under the trigger to switch it off. STUPID is the word

Swivel head cutoff toolPros very ergonomical, comfortable in your hands, easy to use controls from head position, forward to reserve spin, speed/trigger control, exhaust/ air discharge position, plus tool is so much quieter than regular cutoff tools
Cons only one max rpm is limited due to design but an extra minute still will get the job done safely and effectively
What is the distance between the wheel and the inside/outside of the guard?

With a new #32155 Tru-Flate 3" cut off wheel (the new wheel measured out to 2.98") clearance between the wheel and the inside of the guard is about 0.131" (3.35mm).
The outer radius of the guard is 1.73" (44mm) and the inner radius is 1.61" (41mm).
