Well built and solidVery well built and solid cabinet. Comes with a lot of sealing tape and RTV to make sure it seals well but follow instructions closely on sealing locations. Can be built with one person as long as you have long arms and plenty of space. I used fine slag for the initial test and it picked up material well and did an excellent job. Gloves are very large for my hands so smaller work is a bit clunky but they seem very durable. All in all a top of the line blast cabinet!

Great Blasting CabinetThis is my first blasting cabinet. Easy to put together and instructions are very clear. Takes a few hours and would have helped to have an extra set of hands while assembling the larger pieces. I’ve been blasting away and the gun works perfectly. The finish and fit are of very high quality.
How much media is optimal to facilitate media flow. (Flow is a constant problem- same cabinet, a few years old).

We have a air compressor up to 150 psi. What is the lowest output pressure the machine is capable of operating at. We have low pressure applications at 40 psi. Can the output be reduced to this low?
Asked by: Ragman
Pressure (PSI) is not the same as CFM (Cubic Feet per Minute) This blaster will need a compressor capable of at least 7 cfm @ 90 psi. You can have a compressor that can compress up to 150 PSI, but only be 3 CFM with a 2 gallon tank. This will not work with this blast cabinet, so check your compressor CFM rating. Turning the PSI down with a regulator to 40 PSI will make it harder for the unit to siphon feed and meter the media out of the gun. Use with 60 grit or finer (higher number) blast media. Use of Walnut shell media is not recommended.

I have had my B60 cabinet for about 3 years. All of sudden out of the blue it stopped picking up sand. I have tried everything advised. Even bought a new gun. Still wont pick up. Any tricks or advice what I can do?
Asked by: Bmodica
First, check for blockages in the nozzle, hose, or pickup tube, and ensure the sand is dry and the air pressure is sufficient. Sand isn't always the best choice for blasting. You are battling a blockage, moisture or media issue.

Can you use stainless steel beads on this machine?
Asked by: Paul
Yes, stainless steel beads can be used in the Eastwood B60 Abrasive Media Blast Cabinet, provided they are compatible with the cabinet's specifications. The B60 is designed to handle various types of abrasive media, but it is essential to ensure that the stainless steel beads are of an appropriate size and grit to avoid damaging the cabinet or its components. Always refer to the cabinet's manual for specific media recommendations and ensure proper maintenance to prolong the equipment's lifespan

Yes, soda media can be used in the Eastwood B60 Abrasive Media Blast Cabinet. However, it is important to ensure that the media size does not exceed 60 grit particle size to avoid nozzle clogging.

can i use my own shop vac for collecting dust
Asked by: Gunny
Yes, you can attach a shop vacuum to a blast cabinet. A heavy-duty vacuum with 1.0 to 2.0 peak horsepower is recommended. For optimal performance and safety, always ensure the vacuum is equipped with a fine particulate filter to capture dust particles effectively.
