First time painterThis summer I leaned how to paint off a popular online channel...ahem, and this is the only clear I have sprayed. I found with 10% reducer added in and proper surface prep, it lays down like a sheet of glass. I'm on my third project now and it just gets easier. I am super impressed with this product.

Activator no longer included with paints! When I bought paint in the past it included the activator. So in order to make the paint price look better they no longer include the activator...but the paint is useless without it. Very disappointed with Eastwood''s marketing department but the product is still very good.

Really like this stuffThe beat thing is this stuff doesn't post flow forever like some clears. Since this was My first time using and I was painting a relatively small sign, I decided to use my HVLP detail gun, and it just didn't have the horsepower to really lay the product on ( which is why I used it, in case this stuff just kept flowing ). Anyway, gun maxed out, and about 10 percent thinned, I managed to lay out what looked like a new car finish. I have no doubt that had I used my big gun, I could have laid it on like glass. LOVE this clear, just love it!

Worked greatI used this as a clearcoat over lacquer for a gas pump project I was working on. I used the appropriate hardener, and applied the clear as per instructions. It was talky in about 10 minutes and the next day I sanded it with 1000 grit and buffed it out. I will definately use this system again.

Great clear coatVery happy, I had to reduce slightly, ended up with a great finish!
I have an unopened quart of this clear coat (50251ZP) and the proper activator that have been stored in a temperature controlled room, for about 2 years. Is it likely to be OK to use. Will it be OK to spray over PPG shop line Urethane base coat?
Asked by: Mike
The activator will likely be bad. They have a short shelf life even unopened. 6 months to maybe a year. Check the color of your activator, heavy yellow to brown would be bad. It would most likely be fine over Shop Line, but that's a question for PPG.

1.0 - 1.3mm needle/nozzle set up is recommended for clear coats with our Eastwood Turbine Paint System.

Can I use Eastwood on hardwood floors
Asked by: Jaydog1225
While this product can be used on wood, it is primarily formulated for automotive applications. For wood floors, you may also want to consider products specifically designed for flooring, as they may offer additional benefits like enhanced scratch resistance or easier application for large surfaces.

Can you use clear coat on wood? Yes, they are used very often, even to better enhance the natural warmth and colors of the wood essences.

Clear coat on roof of my 2008 tundra is peeling. Can I use this to sand and recoat the roof clearcoat?
Asked by: Jack
If the existing clearcoat is peeling/failing it will need to be removed prior to re applying a clear like this or anything else over the surface.

I bought a gallon of this clear and you no longer sell it in gallons. You only offer quarts 32 ounces. I am concerned 1 gallon will not be enough to spray 3 full coats on a 1973 Corvette. Will one quart, 32 ounces, cover a 1973 corvette with a full coat?h
Asked by: Bill R
I am not. Please hit the link i previously sent. View the photo right on this page as well as the video; it is the exact same product.

used this over Blue by you and after color sanding and polishing finish is flat. Sanded with 800, 1000,1500 and 2000 grit. Then buffing with rubbing compound and polishing compound. Other than sanding and adding a clear coat how do i get a gloss finish.
Asked by: rich
Right out of the gun when this clear coat cures it will be a gloss finish. Once sanding is started then yes you need to walk up thru higher grit papers until you can do a final buff to a gloss shine.
