Description
The Eastwood Elite Series Spool Gun instantly turns your MP140i (20559) or MP200i (20569) steel welder into one that can quickly weld aluminum, too. Simply attach the spool gun using a standard dinse connector and you can then use your multi-process welder on aluminum up to ¼-inch thick. The gun works with 0.030-0.035” aluminum wire and comes with two 0.030” contact tips plus a hex key for tightening it. Get a three-year warranty and lifetime technical support when you order from Eastwood.

Too expensive.
Haven’t used it yet, I think the price is too high, but since no one else makes one that works with the Eastwood welder you’re stuck with it.

Have not used it much yet, set it up and tried it out. The guide gets you close but you will need to fine tune. This was using 100%argon shielding gas

Will this work on Elite MP 200i
Yes it does. But it is quite expensive. The two welders listed also are compatible with the titanium line from hft. Much cheaper and is it more ergonomic and comfortable unit. Not price gouging for proprietary fittings. They did not make them, same factory as hft

Why is this spool gun so much more expensive than the others that eastwood sells?
You do not need to purchase this specific spool gun for the two welders listed. They are both directly compatible with the titanium line from hft. Much cheaper, nicely built. Also locally available. Saves a ton of money.

This welder directly is compatible with the titanium line from hft. Pick it up locally. Plugs right in. Saves a ton of money. Same with the mig gun.

I always thought that aluminum had to be welded with AC. Does the current switch to AC when you add the gun? Can I weld Aluminum with the TIG process?
Aluminum can be "MIG" welded with a spool gun. If you are "TIG" welding aluminum, then yes, it will be welded in AC + (positive ground).

What are the connector pin definitions and function and the drive motor power? In other words; which pins are for the trigger and which are for the drive motor power and what is the voltage range for the drive motor and is it AC or DC or universal?
The drive motor would be DC powered. We do not have additional specifications or a pin out for the connector, sorry.

Does spool gun fit eastwood 130 welder?
No, the later MIG 135 or MIG 140 need the #20172 spool gun.
If your MIG 135 is older and has a fully plastic connector you need the #13898.

will this Eastwood MP140i MP200i Spool Gun work with your Eastwood Elite MP200i Multi Process Welder and what gauge wire can it be used to weld anodized steel 14ga with this spool gun
The 20645 is able to be used on the 20569 with no issues but is designed for usage with aluminum wire.
