Eastwood 250 Amp MIG Welder

Product Overview:

Description

Get the power you need for big welding jobs with the Eastwood MIG 250. This advanced 250-Amp MIG welder can be used on a wide range of projects from 20-ga sheet metal up to 1/2-in. steel plates. Infinitely adjustable output lets you set the amperage anywhere between 50- and 250-Amps for greater control.

With the flexibility to run on either 120V or 240V power, you can plug it in virtually anywhere you’re working. And thanks to its lightweight inverter technology, the MIG 250 weighs just 46-lbs – half that of similar welders – so you take it just about anywhere.

Equipped with a long, ergonomically designed Trafimet ERGOPLUS24 torch, an 8-ft. power cable, and a 9.5-ft. ground cable, the MIG 250 makes comfort a top priority as move around your project. A cast aluminum and steel drive motor feeds 0.023-in. to 0.045-in. MIG wire or 0.030 to 0.045-in. flux-core wire smoothly and reliably. The ability to run either 4-in. (2-lbs) or 8-in. (10-lbs) spools of wire gives you additional flexibility, and with the optional MIG welder spool gun installed, you can also weld aluminum.

And it’s all backed up by Eastwood’s 3-year warranty and lifetime tech support.

Application Tips

MIG 250 Portable Welder

The MIG 250 is our most powerful MIG welding kit, giving DIYers high-quality welds with a simple learning curve. Join steel plates up to 1/2-in. thick using 120vAC or 240vAC input right out of the box. If you add the optional spool gun, you can also use this MIG welder for aluminum up to 1/4-in. thick. Rated 5 out of 5 by from Totally happy I have used this welder now at least 50 hours since I got it a month ago. I absolutely love it. Been doing mostly 3/16 inch steel but have also done as light as 26 gauge sheet metal and some stainless with the same.035 wire. I would recommend this machine for any home shop but I have mine at work and use it daily. Can’t recommend it enough

Are the consumables proprietary to Eastwood or could I possibly find them at a local store if needed in a pinch?

Asked by: ApexSun
They aren't considered proprietary. If you find another brand or consumables in general that state they are for a Trafimet ERGOPLUS24 Torch- they should fit.
