I have your Mig 185 it came with a spoon adapter will the 8 inch 030 and the 8 inch or 035 spools work on my 185 mig I was concerned that they might be to heavy.

This wire is a solid wire and would require a shielding gas to be able to make clean porous free welds.

im mig welding auto body panels isn't 030 too heavy for lite welding 030 is more suited to exhaust system welding I have 023 solid wire that came with my machine
If the Amperage is turned way down you could use .030 on body panels, but the .023 is going to be the best bet for thin gauge steel.
