Reviews

Rated 5 out of 5 by from noobie user - 5 stars first time hvlp user. this thing was so easy to use! just make a couple fan test sprays then went right at it. first project was refurbishing a set of winter wheels - 2k epoxy primer, base, 2k clear. all done with the same gun and very happy with the results. used with a dewalt 4.5g portable compressor (5scfm @ 90PSI) and it had no problem keeping up with the air consumption of the gun. my only nit pick (and prob more user error), product will drip from vent on the cap if held sideways too long. used Eastwood injected cleaner to clean the gun which worked great. also added the Eastwood disposable filter and regulator. one stop shipping.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Another great gun I haven’t painted in fourth years back then a Binks 7. I was so impressed with this gun it like I haven’t taken the time off I used it for base coat and clear. Here is a helmet I did as a test for a bike I am getting to do later this winter.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from decent detail gun Shoots good, needs#21 pps. Fan adjust screw sucks.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Maybe a fluke but... You have to constantly loosen the paint hopper or it wont feed paint, even taking the plug out of the cap. That makes it near imposable to adjust for use. I've used Eastwood guns in the past with great results. I'm disappointed in this gun. I will continue to do business with Eastwood, just unhappy with this particular purchase.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from This is Junk The air cap screw never threads properly. This will cause air to buble up to the cup. The spray sputters.. Similiar to a gun looking exactly same, which i bought on amazon for 20$ . Nothing pro about this junk.

Questions & Answers

I am having a miserable time spraying high solid clear through this gun in door jam area. Sprays out unbelievably rough. Full size gun sprays out great. Is there no nozzles larger then 1.0 for this gun and if not is there a work around for the clear?

Asked by: Mike D
This gun specifically designed to use that 1.0 no work around that I know of.

Can this gun be used with a 2.6 CFM @ 90 psi compressor for a small car-paint touch up job?

Asked by: GD112
This should work for that application. Depending on tank size, you may need to pause for a minute to let air build occasionally.

What is the correct 3M PPS2 Adapter for the Detail gun?

Asked by: Jenni
I checked the thread specs on the paint cup, and it is 14mm x 1mm. The PPS2 3M part number appears to be 26105. https://smile.amazon.com/gp/product/B07PCZLLD5/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

On the box containing the concours pro detail gun it lists an accessory of a DeKups adapter #12412. I can't find this part on the Eastwood website. Where can I find it?

Asked by: Bob B
We apologize for any confusion but the small Detail gun does not have a Dekups adapter available.
