Description
Having a hard time hearing your car's sound system over the road noise? Dynamat Xtreme keeps the noise out, so you'll hear more music using less power — effectively increasing your amplifier's output! This sheet metal vibration damping material (a butyl composite with a layer of aluminum) conforms and fuses to automotive body surfaces such as floor pans and doors.
The 10455 bulk kit includes 9 sheets of Dynamat Xtreme, for a total of about 36 square feet (a car door requires about 5 square feet). Designed especially for high-temperature areas and high sound pressure level situations, Dynamat Xtreme offers four times the damping power of Original Dynamat, thanks to its energy-reflective aluminum layer.

Instructions
Remove any carpeting and underlining materials, then wire-brush or blast steel floor, trunk or door panel to remove rust. Use Rust Converter or Rust Encapsulator to treat any areas that cannot be blasted. Use 52050 Dynamat Applicator Roller to apply Dynamat.

Dynamat floor sound deadener.
Great product and easy to install. Just wish there were a couple of extra pieces in the pack. I managed to get just to the rear floor section but could not clover under the rear bench seat. But great product.

Awesome
I used Dynamat on the floors and firewall of my 68 Dart , and I just ordered more for the trunk as the exhaust is resonating through this area .
I would recommend a wide roller.

Cooling a Tiger
I have used this product Dynamat as part of the total restoration of my Sunbeam Tiger. Others complain of high cabin temperatures from the engine bay in the Tigers.
Mine is as cool as a cucumber and it is easy to install.
Great stuff I highly recommend it.

Dynamat Extreme Bulk Pack
I put this stuff on the doors of both my Toyota T-100 and my 1979 El Camino and gained so much more in sound quality from my speakers. I also got this for the roof of the 'camino, now when it rains I hear more music and less weather.
I love this stuff.
The floors of both cars are next!

Deadens the noise!
The product is easy to apply and works great. The only issue was the coverage. In cacluating the coverage you have to allow for the valleys and contours of the vehicle (About %20) more than the square footage

Can you paint over this?
I've seen different points of view none seem to be valid.
I've Dyna-matted multiple vehicles and I always felt that the surface is too shiny/
slippery for paint. I think it would just flake off.

2014 Subaru Outback - Road noise a negative part of ownership. Adding Dynamat to the top side of Wheel Well covers - pro or con? Would not be between tire and wheel covers (but on the opposite side
The Dynamat would need to be applied to the top side (interior surfaces) of the steel wheel wells and floors.
