Rated 5 out of 5 by from Works great with the fix Originally a 1 star. Had the same problem as the other 1 star reviews. Worked first time and then nothing. After investigation, I found the oil leaked out. Take the oil plug out, fill with tool oil, and make sure the o ring is in the recess on the plug. Mine was down on the threads of the plug. Once I made that fix, it works a treat. Like brand new again.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great tool for the job I have owned this tool for about 2 years and I am restoring a 1960 BelAir and its been a rustbucket but this tool has come in real handy for flanging metal and getting the panels prepped. Punches through 16 gage steel no problems (@120 psi) Just make sure you have a compressor that can power this tool the to the best of its ability. Swivel neck makes for the right angles in how you hold the tool.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from So far works good I am using this tool for the installation of floor pans in a Chevy truck. At this point in time I am very satisfied with the performance.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Almost good.. The tool is solid and seems well made. Delivery was slower than anticipated but got here in due time. Puncher worked fine, wish I had one ten years ago. Flanger was disfunctional and would not crimp anything thinner than 16 gauge metal. I called customer service immediately. They were helpful and promised a replacement right away. I have not received it yet nor any promise on when it will be shipped.

Used my Rockwood flange/punch tool only a few times.  Now the punch die is stuck on the metal and won't release.  How do I get it loose?

Asked by: t_bone
If the gauge of the metal it is too thick or the air supply was inadequate it won't do a complete punch and can bind. To release it you will need to either pry the moving Jaw upward or do a a partial disassembly of the head to release it.
