Eastwood Bead Roller Kit- with Mandrels is rated 4.1 out of 5 by 36.
Rated 4 out of 5 by from Bead rooler works for less $$$ After setting up in my vise , that was a snap, I started to experiment with different thichnesses and found it worked as described and best with 20 gauge sheet metal. Although I rated the value lwoer thanmost it was becasue of the wondering top arm onn 18 gauge material some times. Maybe I was doing it wrong but the results for the money are good enough to make it a good deal If it were a little cheaper this would be a very great deal. I will be adding a heaveier plate to stabilize the top arm soon. THen i will purchse the louver die !! All in all it is over all something that you can buy for less and achive good reults when yopu follow the instructions !!!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great basic tool. Right after receiving my unit I realized I made a mistake. As a one man shop there was no way I could keep things straight and turn the handle at the same time. Also there were simple other add on's that I saw others do on U-tube to make this more workable. I found that Mittler Bros. has a motorized add on kit (Part 200-302) and I took the chance to see if it was compatible. So I purchased it and added it to my Eastwood Bead Roller with very little adaptation. You'll need to purchase a LoveJoy Coupling Hub 1/2 to 1-in with spider and a 3/4-in steel or aluminum plate. Pictures attached. The tension block won't move freely without a spring and without removing the paint under it so it will slide. I still haven't addressed the flexing of the fixture yet.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Outstanding I set it up in a standard large vise, not the optimum setup but adequate.I wil be solid mountig it to a wall bracket soon.I have just finished a plate for welding up the side of a ride on mower.to start of with I put a gentle pressure on the english wheel to arc the panel then I used the bead roller to put a top edge to match the profile on the mower deck and then against the curve I beaded a rolled edge at the bottom and using the shrinker stretcher on the top and bottom sized them in.Job done better than previous standard......Thanks to all the staff at Eastwoods .................

Would this work for making a bead on 2.5 inch aluminum intercooler pipe?

Asked by: R34skyline
Since the outside diameter of the mandrel is 2.3" you should be fine to use this on intercooler pipe.

Hi Eastwood. I have your economy bead roller and have made some great door skin panels from stainless steel. After rolling beads the panel is left with some warping/oil canning. Is there a way to relieve this stress buildup so the panel will flatten out?

Asked by: Bigwavedave
Run the material around the area where the metal is being rolled thru an english wheel.  You could also mark a grid  in the area to be formed and hammer the intersections on an anvil. This will create a true oil can condition. Then bead roll.

Hello, what is the largest diameter mandrel. I will be working with automotive piping and need to be able to put a bead on the ends of 2" pipe.

Asked by: Thomas Brennan
This unit will not be able to put beads on 2 inch pipe. The dies themselves are a little larger than 2 Inches.
