Instructions

1.Clean area to be prepared with soap and water. Let dry. Clean with acetone to remove silicone or wax.
2.Cut away damaged area and loose pieces of fiberglass or metal.
3. Sand the surface with grade P80 grit 3Mā„¢ sandpaper, Note: if grinding is required use grade P50 3Mā„¢ grinding disc to remove paint, primer or gel coat down to bare metal or fiberglass. Extend sanded repair area at least 3 inches beyond damage.
4.Remove sanding dust and Re-clean area with acetone.
5. Mixing: Knead cream hardener tube thoroughly. For a golf ball-size amount of resin jelly, squeeze out 1 1/4 inch strip of hardener, or mix a 3 inch diameter circle 1/2 inch thick of resin jelly to a 3 inch strip of cream hardener. Mix thoroughly to a uniform color on a clean, flat non-porous surface. Mix only small amounts that can be used within 3-4 minutes. Do not add cream hardener in resin jelly container. Spread initial thin layer of mixed filler over repair area using firm pressure to ensure maximum adhesion. Note: If repairing a hole, apply the mixed resin jelly onto the damaged area and then place a piece of fiberglass mat or cloth on top of resin jelly mixture. Next, quickly spread more resin jelly on top of fiberglass mat or cloth. Continue to build more layers if needed, using this same process.
6.Sand repair area with grade P80 grit 3Mā„¢ sandpaper after 20-25 minutes.
7. Apply a thin layer of Bondo(R) Body Filler to fill pinholes or small imperfections. Let the filler cure for 20 minutes and then sand with 3Mā„¢ P80 grit sandpaper and feather edge with 3Mā„¢ P180 grit sandpaper.
8. Finish with primer, paint or gel coat per the paint manufacturerā€™s directions.
