Diamond Clear for Bare Metal is a fuel-resistant, heat-resistant-to-300-degreesF barrier that protects clean metal surfaces. Tried to use on Suzuki GT550 engine covers after polishing. Parts cleaned as per instructions. Coating went on with a satin finish, not high gloss. After drying for more than a day, the fiinish flaked off, which worked out not too badly, since removal wasn't too difficult. Solution has been to re-polish and just use some good wax. Product was very disappointing. I use duplicolor laquers all the time, so am not new to rattle can paints. Very disappointing.

I was looking for a way to keep from polishing my Zoop's billet brackets without the extra cost of chrome plating. I hate polishing billet aluminum. I bought this as an experiment. I cleaned the billet with prep solvent and sprayed on two light coats. I was amazed, the stuff dries super fast. You can't tell that there is even a clear coat on the billet. All my friends think that I had the brackets chrome plated. Absolutely amazing. I purchased all the other Eastwood clears. Great products!!!!!
