Great Product
DO NOT USE INSIDE!!! Yes, I am aware the product states this. But needing an area above 70 degrees (coolest I prefer to use paint products) and it was in the 40s outside. Wasn't bad at first, closed it off in the spare bathroom. But in the morning.... Wife is STILL NOT HAPPY!!! But it's definitely a Great product!

Just Perfect!
Brought back a 50 year old Motorcycle tank full of rust. Read the instructions, read them again and then read them again. You won't regret it. This product requires your timely attention but it's all worth while, not hard, just time consuming. It's been 10 years and the tank still looks like new inside. Extremely pleased!

Extremely durable finish
I used this on a 65 yr old tank and it did the trick. Followed the instructions to a "T" and it got rid of the flaking rust and sealed it with a nice finish

Awesome product!
Used it on my 55 oldsmobile gas tank and it sealed all the flaking in the tank.

1964 corvair gas tank repair
I have had good luck with this product on my Corvair gas tank. The key IS the prep, take your time and follow the instructions. I did the gas tank while I was doing other things so I was not in a hurry for the chemicals to soak/work/dry. The tank was really rusty so I did the prep twice. To help the tank dry good, I put a blower fan aimed at the fuel opening and blew air into the tank for several hours and then set in the sun for a couple days. Very important to follow the instructions and make sure its all dry before the final coat. I did this 4 years ago and still no problems.

Put in the work, get Great Results!
My fuel tank restore was about a 10 day process. I followed the richard atwell VW DIY Fuel Tank Restoration process almost exactly as he explains it. (ratwell.com) There were a few slight variations on the instructions sent with kit, so when in doubt I followed the POR instructions first. You cannot avoid hard work. Cleaning is number one key. Use muriatic acid and water at first for several days before using marine clean. Once proper cleaning process was done, the Marine Clean, Metal Ready, and Sealer went on in one day, in about a 10 hr process. Lot's of work. Great results. Little tip: it's important to get to know the inside of the tank. If you have a baffle or bowl make sure you angle your initial pour of sealer into that tough to get area, while there is still plenty of excess sealer. I would have liked 50% more sealer and I only had a 13 Imperial Gal fuel tank. My tank did not have holes, only an overall rust and sludge from 40+ years. Very happy with the results, might try not working quite so hard next time.

After Degreaser and Metal Prep instructions are clear....let it dry completely before pouring in the Fuel Tank Sealer. Heat guns, ventilation and even waiting overnight have been suggested. Can I wait a week or so to ensure it's dry?

Can the gas tanks for a 1988 jag v12 be sealed without having to remove them from the rear fenders? Thanks
The tanks would need to be removed to use either this kit or the Eastwood sealing kit we currently sell.

Will this product work with aluminum? I have a 75 gallon tank, can I use multiple kits at once for larger tanks?
If the tank is prepared correctly as per the instructions it can work on an aluminum tank. Multiple kits can be used for larger tanks just make sure the tank can be rolled/or rotated to get full coverage of the sealer on the inside .

will this work on a 150 gal. marine aluminum gas tank that has varnish on the bottom
This kit is for a 25-gallon fuel tank or smaller and needs to be swished around the tank which would be hard to do with a tank that large.
