powerful and smooth cutting!
I've used this half a dozen times since purchasing and am extraordinarily pleased with the performance of this tool. I only wished i'd have bought it sooner! If you work with sheet metal at all, you should add this to your tool arsenal, you wont regret it!

Cutting blade issues
The tool is a great concept, but the moving head blade side is so loose it doesn’t keep the gap setting. It even chipped the blade requiring me to buy a new set of blades. I’ll see if resetting it with new blades will work better before setting this tool aside.
Also it said the blades where tungsten carbide but they are hardened tool steel.

I work on rvs and we put the aluminum on prior to cutting out the windows and doors . will this follow a con tore ? Like a router ? Not leaving a lip.
Yea, this tool will follow a contour and creates a clean-cut- it should not leave a lip for the application in reference.

How thick leather can I cut
This has not been tested on leather- this has only been tested on metal since this was designed for automotive use.

Does this throatless shear curt straight lines or is it just for curved cuts?
The Throatless Shear will certainly be able to cut a straight line, but that would depend on how steady your hand is.

what does throatless mean
This would mean the metal can slide on either side to allow the cut to continue as opposed to hitting a stop.

will it cut 1/16 cloth reinforced rubber
Unfortunately since this is a metal cutting shear we have never tested on rubber to see if it would even cut.

Will it cut corrugated panels?
Since we have never tested directly on corrugated panels it would be impossible to say. The hard part would be going down into the recesses. Our Mini metal saw might be a much better option for that type of metal. https://www.eastwood.com/eastwood-mini-metal-saw.html
