Description

POR-15 High Build Primer provides sandable and buildable coating that can be applied over cured POR-15 Rust Preventive Coating and all POR-15 topcoats to enable quick refinishing and recoating of these products. POR-15 High Build Primer is a single component formula that fills in minor Imperfections. POR-15 High Build Primer adheres well to steel, aluminum, stainless steel, brass, and other primed and painted surfaces.

We developed this special "interlocking" primer after many requests from customers who wanted a coating with special adhesion characteristics that make it perfect for most painted surfaces, especially POR-15 Rust Preventive Coating.

POR-15 High Build Primer is highly resistant to penetrating topcoats, like lacquers, enamels, and two-component finishes. It sands very smoothly, as well. Try some on your next project.

Is this a lacquer primer? Do you thin down with lacquer thinner?

Por-15 High Build Primer is NOT a lacquer. It is a Polyurethane and it can be reduced but only with a universal urethane reducer.

can i spray enamel over urethane primer?

While we've never directly tested this with our paints it should be fine once the urethane primer is cured and sanded it should be perfectly fine to apply an enamel paint over top.
