Eastwood Metal Rod Forming and Bending Tool

Product Overview:

Description

Easily Form Steel, Stainless, Aluminum Rod and Flat Stock:

Put the right curves into your steel and aluminum rods using this small metal tubing bender. The tool mounts in your bench vise to create repeatable bends of 180 degrees or more in round, flat and square tubes. A rod forming tool is often used to create exhaust system hangers and brackets. It’s also great for hood prop rods, pegboard hooks, wire storage racks and ornamental metal art. The industrial design and construction produce strong leverage to complete the best in seconds. Use it on round stock with a diameter up to 3/8-inch or on ½-inch wide flat stock up to 3/16-inch thick.

Five forming dies with diameters between a ½-inch and 1.5 inches are included with our metal rod bending tool. This produces a lot of options for gradual curves, sharp hooks and everything in-between. See the tool in action by visiting the Eastwood Garage. We offer many ways to form metal that have a 100% customer satisfaction guarantee.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Metal rod forming and bending tool The Eastwood rod bending tool worked very well. I used it on both 3/8" and 1/4" stainless steel rods with no problem.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Why'd I Wait So Long?? I can't believe I didn't buy one of these sooner. I build custom furniture and one of the pieces I've designed incorporates a 5/16" brass rod that I make two 90-degree bends on. I make these fairly frequently and up until now I've been using a custom jig that I welded up myself using some scrap tubing and angle steel and then i clamp it in my vise. It works fine but leaves slight indents on my brass that i need to sand out. So far I've used this Eastwood bender a couple times and it is a thousand times faster and easier than my diy bending setup. Again, I wish I would've bought this bender sooner. Really helpful for my needs. So far so happy👌🏻

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Landing Gear Bender I bought this for bending landing gear for rc airplanes using 5/32 music wire. Worked great for main gear, not the best for nose gear wires. Worth money to bend what you want when you want it since these accessories for the hobby are less available commercially.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great DIY Tool This product was purchased in order to assist with a project that involved forming metal rod. The rod bender made the task easier and allowed the accurate reproduction of multiple copies of the item being fabricated (very difficult to do without this tool). The tool appears to be well constructed of high quality materials. Note: The finish of the tool is particularly good (something lacking in other/cheaper/imported tools). Finally, the tool is easily adaptable to accommodate a variety of smaller/thinner materials with the addition of set-screw/shaft collars (images)(available through Home Depot, hardware suppliers).
