Eastwood No Weld Panel Repair Kit is rated 4.4 out of 5 by 7.
Rated 3 out of 5 by from Rivets not included and you have to buy 500 Having to buy a 500 pack from EW leaves most DIYs with 400+ specialized rivets that will never be used. This is about 100 times worse than the hot dog - hot dog bun controversy. Steel countersunk rivets are not stocked by most hardware stores or Fastenal or Grainger. A bag of 100 would in most cases be overkill, since there are only 20 temporary rivets/clekos But having to buy 500 rivets from the company that sells a kit designed for 20 rivets is ridiculous. I recommend EW updates the kit to include a few dollars worth of steel countersunk rivets.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Panel repair kit was OK. Used this kit to patch my pick up. Tools are good. I had an issue with the glue. I think the tube had been sitting for some time, (?)the white portion was a hard and I could not get the caulking gun to compress the tubes. Had to take cartridge out again 2/3 of the way thru. I lost part of the mix and poke it so mix would flow, but still was stiff and clogged again. I had to order more, the phone rep was obliging but with only a token discount on the replacement tube of epoxy. Tools and kit made these patches faster, visually better, and easy to get nice results.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Product as it will come in very usefull I haven't used it yet but I have use simular stuff before so it shouldn't be a problem at all to do I just wish you didn't have to buy 500 rivits 200 or 300 would be good. And the other thing that would be nice to have in there kit would be more side holders as the kit only has 3 included with the kit and I'm just one person that will need more of them and you can buy 4 of them for $22.99 each so I would need about 10 of them to do one door pannel. So I might have to buy 2 more sets of them as I'm trying to do a old caars door pannel that is very big so I will need more off them. But I'm only gluing the top part of the door and not the sides of the door I got lucky on that one

Asked by: jrh80
We would strongly recommend not doing so.. You would really need to weld this area.

Can the rivets not be used? And do they need to be stainless steel?

Asked by: Danieldelpha80
The rivets help add much needed strength to the repair. The advantage to stainless is that they will never rust and potentially ruin a paint job over top.

Can this product be used to "weld" an aluminum emblem to a steel tank?  Also, can this be used to "weld" a baffle inside of a gas tank?

Asked by: socko
You must connect similar metals or corrosion could result. I believe the baffle would be fine as long as the metal was all steel and steel rivets were used.
