nice clean consistent hole
Makes real nice clean holes. I used this to make holes for spot welds on a rear package tray, took some effort to get the holes punch, as i had to brace the bottom handle, the use upper body strength to get the holes punched. Swapping out dies is a real pain at first, but once you get figure it gets easier.

Works good until it becomes increasingly difficult to punch holes
It appears the hole punchers get dull quickly. I punched about 150-200 holes and now I have to really squeeze hard to get it to punch a hole.

Hole punch
Works well for standard steel. The dies don’t hold up well to 20 gauge stainless steel work for very long. It would be nice if I could just order extras of warn dies...

Unusable.
I found it nearly impossible to punch a hole in even 22 gauge metal. Returned. I'm going to stick with pneumatic versions instead.

Questions & Answers
Has anyone tried using this for staple holes on inner fender dust shields, door panel window felt etc. ?
I can tell you from experience a Mathew punch set excels at that application. Can also use to make gaskets. It can also be used to make concentric punches, so you can make round ‘o-ring’ gaskets.

Unlike your other hand hole punch. Can every hole punch die punch a hole in 14 gauge mild steel?
9/32" on 14 ga. steel requires significant hand pressure, but it is possible. 1/4" and below get significantly easier.

I'm making notebooks. Can it be used to cut through chipboard, card stock, or cardboard etc?
Yes this can cut through those items but very thin carboard (close to paper thin) might not have as clean of a punch. Also a corrugated cardboard may also cut poorly. We've used it on 1/8" thick chipboard and it worked well.
