nice clean consistent holeMakes real nice clean holes. I used this to make holes for spot welds on a rear package tray, took some effort to get the holes punch, as i had to brace the bottom handle, the use upper body strength to get the holes punched. Swapping out dies is a real pain at first, but once you get figure it gets easier.

Works good until it becomes increasingly difficult to punch holesIt appears the hole punchers get dull quickly. I punched about 150-200 holes and now I have to really squeeze hard to get it to punch a hole.

Hole punchWorks well for standard steel. The dies don’t hold up well to 20 gauge stainless steel work for very long. It would be nice if I could just order extras of warn dies...

Has anyone tried using this for staple holes on inner fender dust shields, door panel window felt etc. ?
Asked by: Scott
I can tell you from experience a Mathew punch set excels at that application. Can also use to make gaskets. It can also be used to make concentric punches, so you can make round ‘o-ring’ gaskets.

Unlike your other hand hole punch. Can every hole punch die punch a hole in 14 gauge mild steel?

9/32" on 14 ga. steel requires significant hand pressure, but it is possible. 1/4" and below get significantly easier.
