Reviews

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect bends, much better than the big hammer. This tool is perfect for small, accurate bends in 1/8th x 1 inch steel bar stock. I used it in my bench press, not a vise. Much easier.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Handy & Convenient! So far so good. Handy little tool for bending light brackets. Quite convenient just to run over to the vise for a quick bend.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect for small jobs needing quality bends. I installed the 4" brake in my 5 1/2" vise. I tested on some scrap 4130 plate, .063" and .080", it took some muscle, as expected on the .080 but bent it with no trouble. Then I made some actual parts. These are rudder pedals, I needed these to be handed. They are .080" 4130 steel. I copied originals, cut out and cleaned up the edges and marked my bend line. Put it in the brake and a few seconds later my part was complete. The new ones I made are the blue ones. I wanted the 6" brake but the secs say it must be a 6" or more vise. Assuming it's the same design it will fit on a narrow vise, the magnets are not at the ends. But the 4" should meet all my needs.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from 4” finger vice break This sure beats the old way of hammering a piece of metal over to form a 90° Angle It makes crisp angles effortlessly with just a few turns of my vice handle I recommend the 4” vice finger break , and it’s made really well for long lasting service

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Worked great! Worked well to fabricate some brackets out 1/8" x 1 flat bar. I wouldn't expect to bend too much heavier than that with the vice I have. Maybe with a heavy duty vice.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Well worth the investment Created a clean accurate 90-degree bend in a 16ga sheet metal bracket I built for a 1975 Norton Commando motorcycle project. I've been banging brackets in the vise with a hammer for years. It's works, but it's never pretty. Well worth the investment.
