Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good quality cord This cord works great for what I needed it to do. Extend the range of my welders.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Easy to work with This is a very pliable and easy to work with product so many are stiff and hard to lay out. This is true even in cold weather when you don't feel like fighting with a necessarily heavy cord that is stiff and difficult to work with. More than met my expectations.

I want to use the mig 175 at my work, but all my 50 amp supply outlets are for RV hookups. Do you know if they make a pigtail that has the 6-50 female end on one side with the 4 prong RV 50amp male side on the other?

Asked by: Buddy
Unfortunately we have no information if someone would have a pigtail. It would be best to check with an electrician.

I have a harbor freight MIG 180 which is a 220 V @ 24 amp . May I use this extension cord to replace it's 6 foot cord ? Chicago electric dosen't recommend using extension cords , that is why I seek to just replace its power cord . Your opinion. Is it safe

Asked by: G money
Since we have only rated this as an extension cord and have no specs on modifying it we would not be able to say if it could be used in your application.

I have a Mig175 and need a 60 ft extension, can I combine the 40’ and 25’ cords safetly? I am welding 3/16” steel plates with flux core. Thanks.

Asked by: Ramone
Yes, you should be fine with the thickness of material you are welding. However, we wouldn't recommend taking it any farther than a 60-65ft. extension and you will most likely see a slight voltage drop.

Can I use the Versa Cut 40 120V adaptor plug with this extension cord? I was hoping to use it with my MIG 135 welder which runs off 120V.

Asked by: itsallgood
The adapter will not allow you to run the MIG 135 as the plugs would be in the wrong direction.

The Eastwood Welding Extension Cord is what you need when you have to take your welder to the project. The 40ft, 6 AWG, 3 conductor UL listed cord has an industry standard NEMA 6-50 Plug and Receptacle, which are what you need for 50 amp circuits. The copper is electrical grade so there’s only a minimal voltage drop to your machine. The cord has heavy insulation to protect the wiring from chemicals and it is abrasion resistant, so when you drag it around the shop over concrete and through mystery puddles, you know you’re still safe. Finally, an extension cord strong enough to use for welding and long enough to actually be useful.

The Eastwood Welding Extension Cord is 40 feet long, which is long enough to bring your welding machine to your project, not the other way around.
