Eastwood's Ceramic Engine Enamels provide a beautiful factory look finish that is super-durable and will withstand temperatures up to 650 degrees F. Developed using the latest paint technology integrated with silicone alkyds, this is the new standard in engine coatings. Each color is replicated after the original color for that deep rich factory look. Our Paint technology ensures that your motor will be protected and resist small chips, chemicals and heat. In fact this is the highest temperature range in the industry, 650 degrees F! NOT FOR USE ON EXHAUST MANIFOLDS OR HEADERS
Not for sale or use in California. Eastwood Paints are formulated to meet National Rule VOC regulations; check with your local and state guidelines as some areas may have stricter regulations than others.

Application Tips
To apply simply clean all surfaces with PRE (10041Z or 10194ZP) to remove all oils and greases, apply Ceramic Coating using a brush or spray gun. Two coats may be needed for full coverage. Some reduction up to 10%, may be needed to spray, use EW reducer 50104ZP. No primer is necessary and allow 24 hours to fully cure NOT FOR USE ON EXHAUST MANIFOLDS OR HEADERS

Metallic gold , great coverage !
Bought this to paint my Drum smoker. I’m not a professional painter, but have a FLG4 HVKP gun I had to learn.
Mixed 4-1 with activator, 10% reducer. Laid down two coats and although I got a little orange peel, it looks outstanding! Painted the lid, handles, etc with the ceramic gloss black

Questions & Answers
I will be using the paint on an uneaven surface that I would like to prepare first with high build primer. This is not on a hot surface such as an engine. Can I use any high build primer or do I need an Eastwood product? If so, which one? Thanks
Using this product other than what it is designed for can cause issues. You will need to test it on products other than Eastwood products at your own risk. It is enamel based and should be used with compatible enamel based products. You should always use the same brand compatible products if available. No primer is necessary.

Is this olds gold engine paint a metallic? It is hard to see in the photos.

can this be air spray painted ? Does it will need any hardener / activator like Eastwood Ceramic Engine Paint Qt Olds Gold as I end up buying it thinking I might need it. Thanks!
Yes, this can be used with our without the activator listed with it on its product page. However, we strongly recommend using the activator and mixing it 4:1 for best durability, adhesion and gloss.
