Could you take out the tin annode and replace with nickels to nickel plate a part? I have some potentiometer tuners I want to satin nickel plate.

Asked by: Youredone82
Unfortunately we have never tested with other anodes to see what would happen. The solution may not be correct to transfer the material.

Could this be used on small hardware and would it hold up to the hardware being used?

Asked by: Mayhem14
This kit is a great option for small hardware. Since you are physically putting a thin layer of metal on the parts the finish will be durable.

It can be made to work but it will usually require longer periods of immersion and multiple strikes with thorough drying in between.

Can this process be used to gold plate the rim of a wine glass?

Asked by: Curious453
We would not be able to recommend this on a wine glass as none of our products have been designed or tested by the FDA for use around food.

How is the durability of this plating, i have a molder bed that the wood has worn through the chrome in a small place would it hold up to friction?

Asked by: David
Since this is a physical plating process it would have excellent abrasion resistance. With that said though we have never tested for long term abrasion.
