Customer Reviews

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Should have had this years ago! I have used this multiple times for 1/4" double flare and it has worked awesome! It looks identical to what you buy in the store. This kit appears to be of really good quality. I wish I would have bought this years ago. The instructions could have been written better but the video explains it perfectly. The one thing that would be even better is if there was a spot in the case to put the deburring tool and cutter in there so everything that you need is in one place.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great tool. Worth the investment I work in a Hydraulic shop. The main purpose of the tool was for fuel lines. After trying it on 10 different types of fuel lines 1/4, 5/16, 3/8, and 1/2, I have been real pleased with the performance. I have made test fittings to test the seal with the disconnects available and all have not leaked up to 150 psi. The tool is easy to use. The only thing I have found this tool can not do is tubing with a wall thickness over .050". This has been stated with what Eastwood has said. It also work great and tested great with the easy bend tubing that is available.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great tool ! This flare tool makes great tubing flares. The dies are accurately made & the hydraulic action of the cylinder is positive & reliable. I made my own handle for tightening the clamping blocks of larger diameter aluminum to be easier on my hands. In years past I have flared tubing via the traditional manual tool & this hydraulic example works great, makes beautiful flares.

Questions & Answers

What is the difference between this tool and the mastercool tool you also offer?

Asked by: Jimbob
Except this Eastwood tool does not work with stainless steel lines as the Mastercool flare set will. That makes the Mastercool a better and more useful tool.

I need to double flare 1/2" tubing. .035 would be the thinnest I could go. I .049 would be better. I was asking about .065 tubing, but after reading, I don't think it is possible to double flare that thick of wall. Is .049 or .035 possible with this tool?

Asked by: Eric
.049 would be a stretch and the results could not be guaranteed. .035 would be the safe one to you use and should give you the best results.

does it do GM jiffytite trans line to radiator

Asked by: Gary
I have this kit. It does not come with the trans dies but they are available separately. Be careful ordering because mastercool had the wrong part number for the trans dies and I had to send them back because they were for the fuel lines which are in the kit.
