Description
Do smarter suspension work on daily drivers, race cars or restoration projects using this DIY suspension compression kit. The Eastwood Interchangeable MacPherson Strut Compressor Kit includes all the components required to compress springs on the suspension of most non-commercial vehicles. This tool is constructed of robust, high-strength steel alloy forgings and will provide years of reliable service. The included composite yoke covers protect spring finishes from scratching and chipping. You’ll also receive an actuator screw assembly, extender block and head cap screws inside a heavy-duty storage case.

Must have for vehicles on and off road
Fantastic tool, I used it not on a road vehicle but on a side by side. A Kawasaki KRX 1000 and I was changing out the sagging factory springs. A safe way to deal with the incredible danger of compressing springs.

I had the “Old widow maker” style spring/strut compression kit. That was always sketchy using it. This Eastwood kit ? …..I should have bought a Long time ago. Soooooooo much nicer & safe.

Perfect for Removing Rear Springs on Ford Fiesta
I needed to replace the rear springs on my 2018 Ford Fiesta, but there was not enough room to use my conventional spring compressor that clamps the spring from two sides. I purchased the Eastwood spring compressor, which allows you to access the spring from one side, and it worked perfectly. The muffler on the right side made the work a little difficult on that side, but there was just enough room to get the spring off. When installing the new spring, it is important to keep the orientation of the new spring the same as the old spring so that it seated properly in the upper mount.

Used it to install a 2inch lift on my 2022 GMC AT4. It did take some muscle to get that spring compressed down with the spacer lift on there. I wanted to use a impact carefully but the instructions said not to. However this spring compressor worked great and got the job done.

Great DIY Tool
I have had many different tools throughout the years of fixing my own cars. I have to say that this is a must have for DIY. Don't waste your money on those cheap spring compressors. Get this one and your job will be done in 15 minutes. Very easy to use and definitely the safest spring compressor I have used.

This tool is not rated for impact tool use. It is recommended to use only hand powered ratchets or wrenched to operate,

What is the diameter of the Screw Assembly? I already bought one of these, but I want to make a stand and want to use a quick release clamp bolted to a stand.
The screw itself is a 5/8" or 0.625" diameter and the outer housing is a 1 3/4" or 1.750" diameter

This is a universal tool for compressing springs on the suspension of most non-commercial vehicles. Can not say for sure if it will work on a Lexus RX 350.

What is the maximum coil wire diameter this is rated for (i.e. 5/8", 3/4", 7/8", etc.)?
This tool is not rated or sized by the thickness of the wire the coil spring is constructed of. This set features three Yoke sizes that will accommodate coil spring outside diameters ranging from. 3.13" to 7.63". Actually, the number of coils and the spacing between them along with the stiffness of the spring material more directly affects the rating of a spring than just the thickness of the wire it is constructed of. It is intended for cars and light truck use only.
