Awesome tool.Used to punch 1/4 in holes in 22 and 20GA. cres. Went thru like butter. Punched about 300 holes no issues. It would have taken forever to drill that many holes not to mention the amount of drill bits you would used and cutting fluid. Life saver.

Had no idea how much I'd be needing thisI have punched over 2000 holes with this thing. Still going strong. Works great. The only thing worthless is the depth gauge. Doesnt matter. Awesome tool.
Will this tool work on the edge of steel to cut half circle's?
Asked by: John
No, the Eastwood Handheld Metal Hole Punch Tool is not designed to cut half circles on the edge of steel. It is specifically made for punching perfectly round holes in steel, aluminum, and brass up to 16 gauge, with a throat depth of 3.25 inches and a jaw opening of 5/8 inch. For edge modifications like half circles, a different tool would be more suitable

will this punch a hole through rubber belting with steel reinforcement?
Asked by: builder 08
The Eastwood Handheld Metal Hole Punch Tool is not recommended for punching through rubber belting with steel reinforcement. While it is designed to work on materials like steel, aluminum, and brass up to 16 gauge, the steel reinforcement in the rubber belting could exceed its capabilities and potentially damage the tool .

Will this work on .02 thick spring steel?
Asked by: Chkhardy
It should, but spring steel is harder so it may accelerate die wear and take additional hand pressure compared to an equivalent thickness mild steel.

stainless steel material weighing 1.2 oz? The cone shape cups
Asked by: Jred
We don't recommend this tool with stainless steels. Perhaps if it is extremely thin (1/40" max) it will work for some time, but I'm just unsure of the durability in the punch and die bits for a material like that.
