Most Durable and Longest Lasting

Rust Encapsulator Platinum is the most durable, longest lasting rust encapsulating coating we have found. Independent lab testing of salt spray ASTM# B-117 testing has proven Rust Encapsulator Platinum has surpassed ALL competitive products tested and exceeded the 1500 hrs., torture test.

Rust Encapsulator Platinum Beats the Competition!

The independant lab test results don't lie! Below are the results of Rust Encapsulator Platinum and leading competitive rust products with over 500 hours of salt spray chamber testing. Rated 5 out of 5 by from Rust Encapsulator Platinum I am very impressed with the adhesion qualities of this product to prepped rusted or bare clean steel. Once cured, the coating is highly resistant to solvents and scuffing. Pricey but a great product.

Questions & Answers

Can I use platinum on Engine accessories? Such as water pump or pulleys?

Asked by: Owen84
As long as they don't get over 350°F, definitely! I used it to paint over the cast iron engine block of my daily driver about a year and a half ago and it is holding up well thus far.

I'm working on some rust spots on the body of an old car. would the correct order or products be 1. rust converter then 2. rust encapsulator, then 3. body filler the 3. primer then 4. paint?

Asked by: Ben B
It really depends. Converter should not contact existing finish and it should only be applied to pretty moderate to severe rust since it needs it to convert. If its more mild rust and or there is existing finish present that what you apply will contact- knock off as much as you can and skip the converter but keep the rest of the steps listed.

I'm wanting to apply this over a rusty frame, rocker and inner panels to stop rust on a full size pickup. Is this the right product to use?

Asked by: Jeff
This would be a great option for areas that you can access to prep. For any areas that you can not access to prep you want to use the Internal Frame Coating instead. This can be found here:

I’m looking to paint my frame and underbody and basically anything else in that area, when looking at spraying the rust encapsulator platinum what tip and how much do I need to cut it down? Thank you for your time

Asked by: Owen84
Anywhere from a 1.4mm-1.6mm can be used. It does not require reducer but this can be reduced up to 20% Xylene.
