What is the recommended SST wire for this machine?

You can use .030 Stainless wire. Just be sure that you have the Tri mix gas. Argon, Helium, and CO2.

what kind of gas do you recommend and psi

All mig welding requires a mix of 75% Argon & 25% co2 shielding gas. Gas flow should be 15 / 20 CFH.
