Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Filler! Great stuff sets up fast and no pinholes , sand very easy seems like i got a good bond to the vehicle with it

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Sands well I'm comparing this to Bondo. Evercoat sands a little more easily, cures faster, and clogs the paper far less (very slight clogging if you really get into it, but nothing like Bondo). I'm using 80 grit paper. I'll never use Bondo again.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from "Non Clog" The inscription "non Clog" caught my attention. Most fillers once dry and ready to sand, leave a "grease coat" that sticks to the sand paper for the first few strokes. Ruins the sheet and it must be changed. This Evercoat doesn't do that!! That's HUGE imo. For only a couple dollars more, one saves the cost of the extra sandpaper AND the aggravation of having to stop to reload the sander. I HIGHLY recommend the Evercoat over ANY other I've tried.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good value! I have gone through 2 gallons of this so far and have come to really like it. I had been using Evercoats Rage Gold and while I would still prefer to use Rage Gold, the value savings with this filler is more than worth it. It is pretty easy to sand once you break down the top layer. This also works well with Evercoats platik honey in case you need to skim a panel

Questions & Answers

Should I put a coat of primer on first or is this product good for bare metal?

Asked by: Daryl
You do not need to start with primer. Just slightly rough up the metal and add the filler the filler.

I’ve used this product many times in the past filling voids and reshaping damaged areas in boats. It’s been some time so I’m wondering if I still can use this product to lay over fiberglass cloth already cured with epoxy and shape and paint?

Asked by: Art designs
Yes, this would not be an issue for the application in reference.

Does this filler have Zinc in it to help with rust or corrosion on bare metal ?

Asked by: Smokey96
Evercoat Lite Weight Body Filler(12713ZP) is not a Zinc based product. Eastwood's Contour Premium Body Filler(13520ZP) is a High Performance Automotive Body Filler that contains Rust Inhibitors and Self Etching Properties that will protect against rust and corrosion on bare metal.

Can I use this on galvanized metal, straight onto it, or with rust converter, or with a spray primer for metal:Rust-X, Rustoleum? It's an in-ground soaking tub with some rust that I want to end up top-coating with swimming pool paint. IT HAS A LOW SPOT

Asked by: nmchick52
Yes this filler will adhere fine to galvanized metal. We would not recommend applying them over either Rust-x or Rustoleum.

Would this filler be good on a motorcycle plastic or fiberglass faring, where flexing would probably be happening ??

Asked by: iggymon
A better filler in this case would be Bumper Bite.

I have a 32 ford fiberglass coupe. It has steel flat bars inbedded in resin on the floor for extra strength. I want to smooth the floor completely. What product should I buy to fill in the gaps( Large area)? I want extremely light weight and easy to use.

Asked by: Dave979
For larger jobs requiring more filling you will not be able to use a lightweight filler. You'll need to use a fiberglass reinforced filler like Everglass http://www.eastwood.com/evercoat-everglass-filler-gallon.html Make sure to follow the guidelines for application thickness, etc. Over the fiberglass filler you'll be able to use a lightweight filler to finalize the smooth surface.
