Like our other water cooled models, G5-3000WC uses the latest generation laser source for high electrical efficiency, reliability and stability. It features a new high efficiency (high coefficient of performance) chiller heat pump with huge condenser to keep the laser at the optimal temperature and provide the higest possible duty cycle for a 3kW laser welder.
Due to the high power in the optics we use a new single wobble head. This features an increased wobble distance which is ideal for twin wire feed operation, enabling up to 5/16 in. (8mm) scanning distance.

Our handheld fiber laser welding machines are unbeatable for welding sheet metal. Our testing shows laser welding is typically FIVE times as fast as TIG welding, and often much more. Joints can be welded with deep penetration without the need to grind out a big Vee and lay multiple passes.
Using our optional wire feeder automates the travel speed, resulting in an unbelievably neat weld. Our laser welders have pre-sets which allow you to dial up exactly the same parameters every, time, and set new ones whenever required. This gives process control and repeatability which means quality.
Five spare protective lenses are included, along with 8 copper nozzles. These welding tips cover external, internal and butt joints, including wire feeder types. This fiber laser welder requires little practice to start using and welds very quickly. For anyone welding sheet metal, this machine can save you a lot of time and money in your welding production. Payback can be as short as 4 months, followed by straight profit. For this reason we’ve had large customers buy one of our water cooled models, and then come back and buy six more.
It’s difficult to hide muscles. G5-3000WC is our largest laser welder, yet still reasonably compact at 40 in. x23 in. x31 in. high, with a weight of 360 lbs.
SAFETY NOTES
- Laser welders are Class IV lasers. They can start fires and burn skin at close range but are also dangerous to the eyes for at least 100 metres, so special safety measures are required. We provide guidance on safety, but because safety is so important our safety acknowledgement must be signed before shipping and using the laser welder.
- You must purchase and use our safety glasses and laser welding helmet with this machine. In any case these are the best value on the market, with high and known protection levels, so you should be using them anyway.
