Eastwood Dustless Liquid Media Blaster is rated 2.3 out of 5 by 9.
Rated 1 out of 5 by from Cheaper to have a pro do it. I should have done more research before buying. Most gas powered pressure washers do not come close to the 3.5 GPM required to run this thing and the ones that can are not cheap. I looked into renting one that could. $80 a day. Then I looked for crushed glass media. No one in my area sells it. Eastwood does but there is an additional heavy weight shipping charge. Now we're talking $50 a bag. I called a local blasting company that's been around for 30 plus years looking for media and the guy asked me what I was trying to accomplish and he said he could come to my garage and do the job for 50 to 100 bucks.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Save your money I received this blaster a couple days ago and couldn't wait to try it. I used my Generac pressure washer which has adjustable pressures up to 3100 psi. This is well within the requirements of the product. The provided hose appears to be reinforced. It is, but not to prevent collapsing under a vacuum. It would not work at all with the supplied hose. I cut a garden hose and adapted it. It now works, but it is slow. Even at maximum setting on my pressure washer it takes a long time just to remove automotive paint from small parts, forget heavy rust. Small parts will get blown around and not stay in place. Keep in mind that just as using a pressure washer you will get wet, but now you are getting wet with very tiny glass fragments on your clothing (think about what goes into your laundry). You will need a sand blast hood (you don't want this stuff coming back into your eyes). Determine the cost of your gas, your time, and the media vs. the cost of having this process farmed out or just putting it in your sand blast cabinet (which I do have and now very much prefer) as well as what a new or refurbished replacement part may cost. Keep in mind the value of a product should be directly related to its functionality, ease of operation, and most of all safety. I do recommend Eastwood company to everyone, just not this product.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from minimum 3.5 gpm Look at the price of 3.5 gpm pressure washers before buying this. Most home pressure washers don't provide this much flow or close to 4,000psi that is required. That'll cost you.

I know that you say use glass media, but I only have Black Diamond sand available to my local market. Black Diamond says it will not absorb water. Have you used this media in your teats?

Asked by: MY68L79
I'm running black diamond fine and it works better than the glass. Do yourself a favor and get a better longer media hose as the one that comes with it will collapse

Im looking to purchase this product. With the ground glass which would be better 10/40 mesh or 40/70 mesh?

Asked by: Dthoms93
The 40/70 blend would be a great media to run through this blaster.

I know it says it works with 3.5 gpm but would it be worth it at all with a 2.7 gpm pressure washer?

Asked by: 68 camaro
Lower GPH rated units would have trouble creating the correct suction to pull up the media.

if I am looking at blasting a car body (67 vw beetle) will it warp the panels? I have a Ryobi 2800 gas powered pressure washer. also will I have to remove the glass from the car if I use a glass bead media

Asked by: HFmetalworx
This blaster does not add a lot of heat to a panel to warp it. Also you definitely want to have all glass out of the vehicle as the glass bead media will damage it.

Can this unit also be used with soda. I know it is not aggressive, but some times aggressive is not what you are looking for.

Asked by: Bill99
We do not recommend using soda as it would absorb moisture.

I know you said ground glass as the media, are you talking about the glass bead that you sell? Can you link to the specific glass media that you recommend?

Asked by: RussellMack
Any glass media will be perfectly fine to use. The ground glass just happens to be the most aggressive to get the job done quickly.

Will this clean the tar like residue left by tar paper insulation removed from interior floor panels? Also will this remove undercoating?

Asked by: Bwsmith53
With the ground glass media this will be very aggressive and strip to bare metal.
