Surface Preparation: Bare MetalUsing POR 15 Cleaner Degreaser clean all surfaces shall be free of loose rust, millscale and contaminants such as oil, grease, dirt, and salts. Before any surface preparation is attempted, oil and grease must be removed by employing PRE painting Prep. Use Near White Blast Cleaning to to remove millscale, rust, and other contaminants and leave a roughened surface. You mustuse POR 15 Metal Prep first if you are painting on new steel, galvanized metal, aluminum, or any smooth metal surface.

Coated nicely
Easy to spray on. Looked good after 1 coat. I put 2 on. Probably the best rattle can paint as far as application and finish. The photo does not do it justice. Note there was some pitting on the metal.

Very good match for 5.0 Aluminum Engine Brackets
I tested 7 different paints for matching the look of new aluminum engine brackets in my '93 Cobra restoration. I used a NOS Ford water pump as the control, and this paint was by far the closet match.

What is the temp rating? I want something that will work on tailpipes.
