Works great with the fixOriginally a 1 star. Had the same problem as the other 1 star reviews. Worked first time and then nothing. After investigation, I found the oil leaked out. Take the oil plug out, fill with tool oil, and make sure the o ring is in the recess on the plug. Mine was down on the threads of the plug. Once I made that fix, it works a treat. Like brand new again.

Great tool for the jobI have owned this tool for about 2 years and I am restoring a 1960 BelAir and its been a rustbucket but this tool has come in real handy for flanging metal and getting the panels prepped. Punches through 16 gage steel no problems (@120 psi) Just make sure you have a compressor that can power this tool the to the best of its ability. Swivel neck makes for the right angles in how you hold the tool.
Used my Rockwood flange/punch tool only a few times. Now the punch die is stuck on the metal and won't release. How do I get it loose?
Asked by: t_bone
If the gauge of the metal it is too thick or the air supply was inadequate it won't do a complete punch and can bind.
To release it you will need to either pry the moving Jaw upward or do a a partial disassembly of the head to release it.

Asked by: Old Norse
