Can the Trim Rivet be used to seal existing rivet holes? I removed the trim from my 1966 dodge dart and need to plug all my holes on the car.

You would be better off using a copper backer, placed on the outside, and welded from the inside. There will be way less grinding this way. https://search.eastwood.com/search?w=copper%20welding%20backer
