Hydraulically flare brake lines on the car for perfect custom plumbing
This compact kit allows you to produce single and double flares, in both SAE and DIN sizes, all while still on the car. This is the perfect kit not only for creating custom lines, but for simple splices to existing lines compromised by rubbing, corrosion or crash damage. The interchangeable dies for both 3/16 inch (4.75 mm) and 1/4 inch (6 mm) are easily changed, and stay in place with magnets for easier use. The whole kit comes in a tough blow molded plastic case so all the pieces stay well organized and easy to find.

Quality tool
MUCH better than those cheap ones from the auto parts stores. Directions that come with it are poor and look like they've been through the copier 100 times. If you've used one before you'll be OK. If not, watch some videos or have someone show you. I chose free shipping and it was actually pretty fast. About 1 week.

Outstanding flaring tool
I hesitated buying this tool questioning the hydraulic operation. A month later I received a reply about it to reassure my question and purchased it. This tool easily makes quality flares with little effort. Great for on car flaring. The tubing cutter and bending tool are quite a bonus too. The instructions aren't very good for an amateur. I don't usually rate items but this worked so well I couldn't hold back.

I RECENTLY PURCHASED THIS TOOL.HAD A COUPLE OF SHORT BRAKE LINE TO REPLACE,WOW WHAT A GREAT TOOL FOR WHAT IS PROBABLY ONE OF THE HARDEST JOBS TO DO WHILE LINES ARE STILL ON THE CAR.MAN I AM BLOWN AWAY HOW EASY AND THE QAULITY OF THE TOOL IS TOPS.

Sykes Pickavant is an old & respected tool maker.
I used Sykes tools 45 years ago in the UK & have been in Canada for 37. I was very pleased to be able to buy a tool of this quality in the USA.

Good while it lasted.
I used the flaring tool about eight times. It works great with the standard steel and newer copper brake lines. The clamp head broke at the top and is not repairable. This flaring tool is not cheap and should have lasted much longer. Unfortunately, the next tool I purchase will will cost more to get similar or better results, and hopefully last longer.
