Quality Price Value I have been using POR15 for about 8 years and my original application is still in perfect shape. Thats 8 winters in Southern Ontario salt and still nothing has come through. If it peels then you did not prep properly. It is not for new metal or over bodyfillers. My surfaces are always sand blasted to a clean rough surface. A second coat is required when the first coat gets tacky. Do it right and it will last forever.

Quality Price Value I started using POR15 about 8 years ago and my original application is still in perfect condition. Thats 8 winters in Southern Ontario salt and still nothing has come through. If it peels off then you did not prep properly. It is not for new metal and not for over bodywork. All surfaces need to be sandblasted to create a clean rough surface and it requires a second coat as the first becomes tackey. Use it properly and it will last forever.

Quality Price Value a local motorcycle / car restorer and i bumped into each other at a local parts store and where admiring each others motorcycles. i found out that he has been using por-15 on all his restorations that have surface rust and that didnt really require replacing the panel. i decided to give it a try in the wheel well of my old camaro and the stuff seems to be holding a whole lot better than the junk i have used over the years to get rid of rust. in the same wheel well i have sanded it down to clean metal and prepped with "special" etching primer which worked only 5 months, then it was the rust converter, the gel like rust remover, and the so called rust blocker paint. none worked. after i applied the por-15 i tried to break it loose with a putty knife because i was sick and tired of having to deal with this wheel well and the por-15 did not come loose. im very satisfied and only time will truely tell, but my new resto buddy backs it up and hes been using it for quite awhile. i just wish i came across the stuff sooner and i could have saved myself some cash and alot of time

Good product; Not for "show car" quality, but works well

Price Value Quality A little pricey, but overall it's a great product. It works as says with the proper prep. I used it on my 1987 Samurai which was used off-road only prior to me buying it. That being said, it was in terrible shape and had quite a bit of rust. This product took care of it fairly well and works especially well for a vehicle in bad shape when a perfect "show car" finish isn't desired. I only say that because if you want that kind of finish, you should simply replace the panels affected...

Value Quality Price I followed the directions TO THE LETTER - cleaned, prepped, cleaned, painted and was happy with results....until it started peeling off less than 2 years later, with rust scale and bubbles underneath it worse than before.
This stuff must have acted like a sponge or plastic coating that held in the moisture, because I now have a problem that makes my previous one look like no problem at all.
I purchased it from POR-15 directly, so I don't blame Eastwood at all .
