sand blasting
5mm works great with 60 grit of sand. Recommend having at least 2-3 pack ceramic /rubber blast nozzle.

Ceramic Nozzels
Hello there,
Just recently picked up a couple of 3 packs of the ceramic nozzels. The 3.5 and 5 mm inside diamiter nozzels. Both set worked very well for my application. Overall a good product for a great value and Eastwood had it to me in no time. Will definitely buy from Eastwood again.

Blast Nozzles
Bought a 3 pack of 5mm Nozzles as all the smaller sizes included in the Deadman Blaster Nozzle wont work with the Silica Sand sold at my local Hardware Store. The 5mm tips seem to work, but wish they also sold a 7mm.
I feel the price on these is a bit high and they should sell a six pack for about the same price. Make sure you have the right media as the smaller tips didnt work for anything I could get loacally. Shipping bags of media is expensive!

Great Nozzles
They shoot great for the blasting I need done. I just wish they lasted longer before wallowing out and becoming too large to use.

Questions & Answers
Will this tip work with walnut media?
Based on the context provided, it’s not specified which specific media is suitable for use with a Ceramic/Rubber Blast Nozzle 3.0mm. However, Eastwood offers a wide assortment of specialized abrasives including ground glass, glass beads, silicon carbide, aluminum oxide, walnut shells, and soda media. It’s recommended to choose the media based on your specific needs such as rust removal, paint removal, or surface profiling.

Is there a reference chart for nozzle sizes vs various blast media types available somewhere? I can't seem to find anything.
We do not offer a chart. However, the more corse materials should be shot out of large tips like the 3.5 and 5.0 while less aggressive media be used on the smaller nozzles.

What size nozzle is generally used for silica sand blasting?
We do not recommend the use as sand as a media for blasting, due to the health issues that sand can cause.

Is there a nozzle available that can deliver a more directed spray of media?
We have a nozzle that goes all the way down to 2mm. We also have 2.5mm and 3mm packs of these. This would be much more directed. Here is a link; http://www.eastwood.com/3-pack-ceramic-rubber-blast-nozzle-2-0mm-id.html
