Happy I bought tis one
It works and works well. I had a smaller one from some other vendor which did not seem to do anything but make noise.

Works good
Works good. A bit loud and it does take a good while for the water to heat up. Would have liked a bigger tank though.

Ultra sonic parts cleaner
Large enough for our carburetor rebuilds. We have been using this now for several months and it is working very well. Utilizing simple green aircraft aluminum parts cleaner. Very pleased.

Great machine. Glad I upped for the larger unit.
The unit does a nice job at removing grease/oil on all kinds of things. With 9 liters of liquid, be prepared to wait a bit for that much liquid to heat up, but once it does, it's very effective at cleaning and big enough for most items.

Questions & Answers
How does the degas function work? I assume it is putting the liquid under a vacuum condition which draws trapped air out of liquids. Is this how this unit degasses? I don't see how this works as it doesn't appear to have a sealed lid to achieve a vacuum.
The degas function utilizes another ultrasonic program, different than the ultrasonic cleaning program, to expedite the degassing of the liquid solution.

What exactly does the degas function do and why?
The degas function is meant to speed up removal of small amounts of air that get trapped in the cleaning solution when it is poured it and parts are added or removed. Any time the cleaning solution is interacted with these small air bubbles are formed. The trapped air reduces cleaning effectiveness.
Running the degas function for around 10 minutes before cleaning a part you just placed in will minimize any trapped air and enhance cleaning effect.

Trying to understand what the 9l cleaner will do for me. If I put the various engine bolts in it, will this unit clean them up like new?
It will not restore a damaged finish to new, but it will remove any grease, oil, and the majority of corrosion.

Where is this made?
This machine is made in China.

The interior dimensions of the tank are a little unclear. Which dimension is the depth of the tank?
Look at the picture under description....

Spec list says this unit employs 120 VAC, or Volts, A/C. Your picture does not show the type or shape of male plug attached to the supply cord. Will this unit plug directly into a standard wall mount duplex or extension, or does it need an adapter?
The 6 foot power cord has a 3 prong NEMA 5-15P plug. The cord is shown in one of the pictures above.

What use is the degas feature? Have never heard of that before
Fresh solution may be aerated which will reduce effective ultrasonic action. Using the DEGAS mode speeds up the degassing process and improves cleaning efficiency.

What type of solvent is used in the tank?
Solvent based solutions should not be used in this unit. This unit is for water based solutions only such as this option here: https://www.eastwood.com/oil-eater-cleaner-and-degreaser-1-gallon.html
