Mig 250 gun.
The mig 250 gun is actually very good quality. I prefer 15ft, but a nice gun.

15ft MP250 Mig welder torch.
I have had the Mig 250 c/w the 15ft torch for about 2 yrs and everything has worked perfectly and exactly as advertised. The 15ft length to me is a "must have" for working in larger projects in the shop and cuts down a lot on moving the actual welder itself for reach. The issue of course is the delicate ceramic defuser which as an OME replacement is very expensive for what it is and of course you have to keep spares on hand. This is the ONLY reason for not giving a 5 star rating for this welder/torch combo. On the upside, it's possible the torch will last much longer as it forces the operator to " handle with care ". I do recommend this unit and would buy again.

Cheap gun in my opinion.
Ok to start. The nozzle is flush with the tip. In doing so, the gun has to be cleaned to often. The diffuser is ceramic! I mean really!! The mp250i is built/performs outstanding. Yet they match it up with this mig gun?! Idk someone needs to look into this. As i am thinking of buying a second welder due to the duty cycle and price. However I know eastwood can do better with the mig gun it comes with. Even if it is offering a more "reliable" one at extra cost for those customers who use it for more than just the weekend projects. And last. When you ship these guns I realize your trying to fit it all in said box. However I have had 2 mig guns from you already. Both were rolled up way to small and caused the liners to kink up and prematurely fail. They did send me new liners today free of charge though. Great customer service!. So all in all I think its a good welder. Could be better though eastwood.

No more porcelain.
I opened up the tig gun. It has a lower half and an upper half. I took the flexible upper half off of one of my old Mig torches and screwed it onto my 250 Mig welder. It was so easy and the great thing is no more ceramics to break and consumables from anywhere.

I don’t know…maybe
I’ve run nearly 80#s of .035 through this machine and I’d have to honestly say it’s just ok. I’ve run several different welders both red and blue and this mp250 does not compare. By all rights it shouldn’t, it’s less than half the cost. My issue is after about 30#s of wire the torch is pretty well beat. Then there’s the issue with consistency, every time I fire this thing up it welds differently. Same material, same wire, same prep, same ambient, same humidity, same flow rate, literally shut it off for an hour for lunch and you gotta adjust feed and temp. Next is the cart, it’s a joke. I understand what they were going for but it doesn’t work. No big bottles fittin’ in this thing and that plastic handle up front; hard pass! Casters are cheap, there is no practical drape for the torch, holes for tig rod are a royal pain to use with bottles loaded, and with two fresh bottles, machine on a concrete floor she drags a$$ like a dog with worms. Now the torch itself really is unique, in a good way. The little trigger extension is very handy and definitely minimize fatigue (but it will get in the way and tick you off). It has a good angle, consumables are a snap to service. That being said, it will not last. At approximately 60#s of wire I ordered a new torch. The porcelain was shattered (which happened after a solid 3 minute pass) the trigger extension; well, I cut that off, and the liner as well as the nozzle were worn. Not to mention consumables were not available. Regulators are junk, the Tig pedal is a big blocky joke, tig performance runs right in line with the mig, you always gotta finger it.
Now the good…… it does weld, and if you know how to set a machine by piece, it welds amazing. Good clean arc, consistent temp, feed is phenomenal and it’s nice and quiet. I’ve run this machine hard, maxed out multi pass, no recovery time…I mean really run it through the wringer and it is impressive.
So if you’re a hobby guy, or just occasionally need a good welder to do some nice clean welds this is a solid investment. Absolutely perfect starter machine for someone who wants to learn arc, mig and tig and she’ll even run a spool gun.
But, if you catch random big projects or burn hot hours, just go buy yourself a Miller. The cheap Chinese parts just keep this thing from being more than meahh.

Will this fun work on a lincoln 210mp welder?
Dear Raymond,
We have not tested our Eastwood torches on other brands of welders, so we cannot suggest using it with that machine.
Thanks for the interest in Eastwood.
