Works Well
Use this under hood and especially inside cabin area when cleaning and so forth. So far so good, easy to use. I bought extra light holder which makes it more versatile with what ever i'm doing.

Great for interior detailing!
used this for the first time last week. I bought three of the rechargeable spotlights to mount on this bar, and they lit up the interior like it was a convertible on a sunny day! The tension bar seems sturdy, and I had no trouble releasing it to re mount from front-to-back areas of the SUV ( a 2017 Ford Explorer). The light mounts slide very easily along the length of the bar, and all three lights fit with no crowding at all. Also bought the tripod and it's great, too!

The light and bar are a great idea. Except, my 1971 Datsun 240 Z hood is too narrow for the bar to work. I will keep the bar and find other uses for it. Love the light!

Great for working on your engine
The good: this bracket works very well. It allows you to position the light exactly where you need it. The light is very good as well and I use it on other occasions, not just for my car.
The bad: I am a huge fan of Eastwood products but this one has let me down. The first one I owned broke the first time I used it. I easily exchanged it for a new one and the new one broke after about 10 uses. Both times, it was the plastic hook inside the body that broke. I spoke to Eastwood and they said they would exchange it but I wanted to fix it once and for all. If I were you, I would not hesitate to buy this underhood bracket because it works very well, but it could break. If it breaks, it can be easily repaired as described by another reviewer. I posted a video on YouTube on how I fixed it.

Useful and good design
This arrived broken but Customer Service resolved the situation quickly. Good design of this product and seems to be well made. I have not used the product yet; `I hope the spring tensioner holds up under use.

Price is great and will do its job if you can bend wire.
I have 3 of these, just came back to see what the price was. If you’ve looked around $23 is dirt cheap for a hood light fixture like this.
Problem with them is the bungee inside is hooked to plastic hooks that break (2 out of the 3 I have, so far). Making it trash to anyone that can’t fix anything.
I made a loop out of TIG welding rod, drilling a hole next to where the hook broke off, to hold the bungee on either end. Problem fixed, at least for 3 years, so far.

broke quickly
The 4th time I used it the I expanded it and something popped inside and it now has no tension to hold it on the hood. Unfortunately it was a little over a year old so no warranty.
