Diffuser Tip turns your torch into a soft-flame soldering gun
Slip this tip over your existing oxy-acetylene tip and you can use acetylene (only) to produce a soft flame that's perfect for soldering.
- Saves gas and money
- 1/4"-I.D. rubber hose
Save gas and money by using this soldering diffuser tip on the end of any tapered oxy/acetylene torch tip. Use acetylene only—do not use oxygen! (A flame containing oxygen will melt the rubber in the tip.) Actual I.D. of rubber hose is 1/4". Instructions included on gas settings to get maximum results. Made in USA.

The second one I have owned
I had one that I bought 35 yrs ago, but my buddy didn't read the instructions and burned it up by using the oxygen. I ordered this as a replacement and have to say it works so much better than a propane torch.

Diffuser Tip

tip for lead soldering
this tip gives you better control of your lead soldering it works better than using the torch and i can more faster in areas where i do not want to heat up to much in panels it works good

try propane instead of acetelene
propane is a lot cleaner not as hot easier to control the heat

I have an oxygen /propane torch, with this work with straight propane? I understand adding oxygen will melt the rubber tip.
This Lead Body Soldering Diffuser tip can use straight acetylene, propane or map gas.

A normal #2 tip would be fine.

what is the recommended acetylene pressure when using this tip?
Start with 10 PSI and you can adjust from there to get the desired heat that you need for your panel.

This diffuser can certainly be used for both Lead, and Lead Free Body Solder.
